Leixlip Dog Grooming
The website that keeps Sandra's diary full.
leixlip-dog-grooming.comLeixlip Dog Grooming is Sandra's garden studio, one dog at a time. We built her website and everything behind it: the domain, the email, the servers and the booking form.
After ten months without an update it needed more than a touch-up, so this summer we rebuilt it from scratch. Now we look after it properly. Bookings land straight in her inbox, so there's nothing to log into between dogs.
It's fast, and it works on any phone. It shows up in about two seconds.
And it's built to be found. It ranks well when people nearby search for a groomer, and we set her up on Google Maps and Apple Maps and in the business directories.
It's brought her a lot of new clients. When something needs changing, she sends us a message.
It's a static site built with Astro. Every page is built ahead of time and served as plain HTML from Cloudflare's network, so there's no database to fall over and nothing to patch.
The homepage weighs under 250KB, and only 7KB of that is JavaScript, loaded last. Photos are AVIF, with smaller versions for phones, and every file is cached, so a second visit barely touches the network.
The booking form posts to Dullahan, our own open-source server, which emails the booking to Sandra. There's no third-party form service in the middle.
For search engines, every page carries structured data for the business and its FAQs, with a sitemap beside it and an llms.txt for AI assistants. The bare domain redirects to www, so there's one address to rank.
Security headers and a content security policy go out with every response, and accessibility scores 100 on Lighthouse.
